Odds

Off the Board

Open-Ended Straight Draw
In poker, a hand needing one of two possible cards to complete a straight (e.g., holding 6-7-8-9 needs a 5 or 10).
Outlaw Line
The initial betting line released overnight, available only to a select group of bettors.
Outright bet
A wager on the overall winner of a league or tournament, such as betting on the World Cup champion, rather than a single game.
Over-under bet
A wager on whether a specific game statistic, like total points, will exceed or fall below a predetermined number.
Overlay
Betting odds that are more favorable to the player than their true probability suggests.
Overround
The bookmaker’s built-in profit margin within the odds, guaranteeing earnings regardless of the event’s result.
